Verse:
"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
Romans 5:3-5 ESV

Thought:
I think most of us pump the brakes when the word suffering comes along—I know I do. When viewing difficult circumstances through the flesh, I'm far from rejoicing. I tend to strive for quick relief and a return to pleasure.
But as I seek understanding, I've started recognizing faith and trust as stepping stones toward the Father. When we choose to praise our way through suffering, we allow God to work in us, as suffering produces endurance, endurance builds character, and character provides His unexplainable hope.

Prayer:
Father, it's you I seek. I trust you. I love you.
